Welcome to our new website! I’m absolutely chuffed you’ve taken the time to drop by, and I’m excited to share a bit of my story with you. My name is Steven Reay, born and raised in Wallasey. I now share our family home in Prenton, Birkenhead, Wirral, Merseyside, with my wonderful wife Claire, who’s from Moreton, our son Ralphy, born and bred in Birkenhead, and our beloved pet cats, Tiddles and Winks.

My career path has been a winding road, full of lessons that led me to create Marine Park Transfers. After finishing school with my GCSEs, I started a modern apprenticeship at Cammell Lairds, working there for four and a half years until redundancy struck. I then spent six months making car seats at Vauxhall’s plant in Ellesmere Port, learning the importance of precision and teamwork. Next, I took on another modern apprenticeship in plumbing and heating, dedicating eight years to the trade, only to face redundancy twice more.

In between plumbing jobs, I worked as a local taxi driver to make ends meet. While driving and chatting with passengers, I spotted a gap in the market. The transport industry was letting people down—unreliable service, unprofessional drivers, and vehicles that weren’t up to par. I kept asking myself, *why is it so hard to get the basics right?* The answer was clear: too many companies just didn’t care. That realization lit a spark, and in April 2011, after my third redundancy, I founded Marine Park Transfers—Wirral Airport Taxi Transfers & Wirral Executive Minibus Hire.

At Marine Park Transfers, we’re driven by a mission to put care back into every journey, treating our customers and employees like family. We’re also deeply committed to supporting our local community, a core value that runs through everything we do.
